The school year is progressing nicely. There have been a few delayed openings and a couple snow days thus far this winter but spring is on it's way!
The Junior Student Council sold messages with a twist during the Valentine’s week and are planning a pet food/pet supplies drive for March. The Student Council hosted a semi-formal dance for grades 7 & 8 in January and are working on plans for the next dance.
Three HMS students who competed with 250 other students in the Eastern Region MathCounts Competition in February placed in the top 50 and will now move onto the State Tournament!
Enrichment Activity Clubs have begun and are running smoothly and Volleyball Club has started.
The basketball season has ended, the teams did well reaching the quarter finals. Baseball and Softball tryouts will take place in March with games to begin in April. Get your forms in by March 13 to participate! Be sure to check our community calendar for game dates so you can cheer on the teams and to see all the events taking place.
The play rehearsals are in full swing with the performance to be on March 17 and 18, get your tickets now, don’t miss the show!
The annual Library Book Fair will take place March 6-17 during regular school hours, come see what’s new this year!
